Giuseppe Pugliese surgery had positive result

Giuseppe Pugliese who suffered a malleolus injury has been recovered to Negrar hospital, close to Verona, and has undergone a surgery this morning. The surgery, that lasted one hour and a half, was made by doctor Zorzi and it had a positive result.

It will be the extraordinary Arena's amphitheater of Verona, the place appointed to host the presentation of the Serie B 2012/13 fixtures. It will be the 81th edition of the Serie B, a League created in 1929/30 season.

The event is going to be attended by the Serie B president Andrea Abodi, the FIGC president Giancarlo Abete, the mayor of Verona Flavio Tosi and the 22 representatives of the Serie B teams.

It will be carried out the 3rd August at 12am and it's possible to watch it live on streaming on the Serie B official website.

During his first training of the season with Hellas Verona, new signing Andrea Cocco has suffered a 'strained calf', and that could keep him out for a month.

Hellas staff hope that the injury is less serious than it seemed, but the sensation is that it'd be a one month stop.
The forward native of Sardegna arrived at Hellas Verona yesterday and after some speed exercises he suffered the injury.

The most active team in Serie B this week was Lecce.
The pugliesi have confirmed the loan of Brazilian defender Diniz Plonio from AC Milan as we said last week and the signings of Juan Inacio Pià, forward born in 1982, and Uruguayan midfielder Mariano Bogliacino, former Chievo and Bari.
Virtus Lanciano signed two youngsters on loan from Atalanta, the defender Almici (19) last year at Gubbio and attacking midfielder Nadir Minotti (20). The rossoneri have extended the deal with goalkeeper Vincenzo Aridità for two more years; they've also loaned Di Filippo and Verna to Chieti.

In an interview given to TuttoMercatoWeb, Hellas Verona manager Andrea Mandorlini spoke about former sporting director Mauro Gibellini, now at Como, Sasa Bjelanovic and more.
"Surely I'm synch with new sporting director Sean Sogliano. We talk a lot together and compared to last year there's a relationship between us. Let's forget Gibellini, now it's a different story, a real collaboration".

Cocco is going to sign in these hours and Bjelanovic is about to leave: "I asked Sasa last year because I think he can be fundamental. I hope he stays. He might be useful to our aim".

After undergoing medicals, Andrea Cocco has joined Hellas Verona summer training ground in Santa Cristina.

Cocco who arrives at Verona in co-ownership with AlbinoLeffe, will have his first training with the gialloblu today (Sunday).

The first occasion to see Cocco playing will be Wednesday 1st August in Bressanone in Hellas second friendly match against Sudtirol.

Giuseppe Pugliese sustained an accident during the friendly played by Hellas Verona against Fiorentina in Moena.
The full back was defending a ball by viola striker Alessio Cerci before losing his balance.
The medical staff said that his malleolus is fractured: he will start the recovering next Monday in Negrar with doctor Zorzi.
Pugliese might be forced to miss the next three or five months of the season.

Hellas Verona have deposited the contract of young French defender Tony Huston (1993) from Le Mans.

Huston have signed until 30 June 2015.
Sogliano believes in his potentialities and in fact in France he's described as the new Lillian Thuram.
For now, Huston is a centre-back or a right full back in alternative, very physical and long-limbed, he signed a three-years deal.

Hellas Verona new defender Emanuele Pesoli could face a three years ban from the game after he was charged with sporting fraud, in relation to his time with Varese.

The 31-year-old is accused to fix the match Siena-Varese of the 21st May 2011 by asking to former AlbinoLeffe player Carlo Gervasoni the availability of Siena players to fix the game.

The hearing are due to being on August 2nd.

Last Friday night there was the presentation of the Hellas Verona team to the city. In that occasion, the club decided to show to the fans the differences introduced in the official shirts.

The event was held in the sporting centre Olivieri of Via Sogare next to the Bentegodi stadium in front of 3,000 fans excited about the new signings made by the couple Setti-Sogliano.

The official kit has been made for another year by the japanese company Asics and they keep the style used last year.
However, something is changed in Hellas Verona shirts, let's see what in the following inset:

Italian Tim Cup: Reggiana or Entella will face Hellas

Today in Milan it was drew the Tim Cup board.
Hellas Verona will start their adventure in the tournament against the winner of the first round between Reggiana and Virtus Entella.
The game is due at the Bentegodi the 12th August.

AlbinoLeffe and Pro Patria target Campagna

In January he was loaned in Lega Pro to fallen team Piacenza, but at the end of June he returned to Hellas Verona. We're talking about Dario Campagna (1988), defender born in Turin, who is now excluded by Verona's team as well as team-mate Manuel Mancini.
The two players didn't join Hellas pre-season campaign in Santa Cristina and are waiting offers from other teams.

On the defender there is the interest of AlbinoLeffe and Pro Patria and in the next days there might be developments.

Campagna has had 46 appearances with the gialloblu shirt.

We're talking about Michelangelo Albertazzi one of the biggest Italian talent. He was born in 1991 and he can be insert in the Under 21 list. Albertazzi, played some good games with AC Milan in this pre-season, but probably he won't stay with the rossoneri.

Sogliano had the player when he was Varese's sporting director and he knows what the young defender can add to Verona defense. Verona is seriously thinking about him and in the next few hours the two clubs might find an agreement.

Hellas Verona tested the water with Brescia for bomber Andrea CaraccioloThe 'Airone', as he's commonly called, played the first part of last season with Genoa before he was loaned to Novara.
Caracciolo wasn't buy by Genoa in June and so he returned to Brescia after his loan has expired.


The price asked by the rondinelle is too elevated for lot of Serie B teams: 1.5m fee and 600.000 for the player. An important wage for a Serie B player and for that reason Brescia is trying to sell him.
Sogliano tried an approach with the biancoblu and Verona seem interested in an excellent forward for Serie B, a top player who can guarantee 20 goals. But with that price, Verona don't want to deal......

The French defender Tony Huston (1993) sustained medicals in Verona last Friday.

Huston is a French defender who was targeted by Juventus, Inter and Lazio but Sogliano gained the upper hand by signing the French talent from Le Mans.

Lot of good players arrived this week and others left.


Padova began the week by signing on loan from Chievo two strikers: the Uruguayan Pablo Granoche former Novara and Diego Farias, last year with Nocerina.
Neo-promoted Virtus Lanciano announced the Slovenian midfielder Danijel Marceta who arrives in co-ownership from Hellas Verona after being bought by the gialloblu from Koper; two youngsters arrive on loan from Sampdoria: striker Simone Zaza (21) and Emanuele Testardi (20). Edmund Hottor joins on loan from Milan the abruzzesi. The rossoneri are insisting to aggregate Juventus young goalkeeper Nicola Leali and are close to sign from Atalanta Nadir Minotti, a midfielder.
In the last hours, former Siracusa forward Fofana signed a two-years deal with the rossoneri.
Ternana announced the arrival of Maurizio Lauro (1981) from Cesena.

In Tuscany, Grosseto sign Marcello Falzerano (21) in co-ownership with Chievo and African midfielder Kenneth Obodo from Pisa. Modena received defender Sinisa Andjelkovic on loan from Palermo and forward Matteo Ardemagni (25) from Atalanta. The canarini announced goalkeepers Colombi, last year at Juve Stabia, and Di Stasio, former Salerno Calcio. Released defender Alberto Masacci joins the gialloblu from Manchester United.
Modena rivals Cesena, exchanged with Cremonese the Croatian forward Milan Djuric with young defender Simone Favalli. Gialloblè Juve Stabia sign former AlbinoLeffe and Modena bomber Cellini and French midfielder Gael Genevier on loan from Siena.
In Marche, Ascoli design Maurizio Peccarisi who collected 36 appearances and one goal last season with the bianconeri. They also announced midfielder Matteo Famà (1991) from Mantova.
Reggina sign young goalkeeper Paolo Baicco from Siracusa and centre-back Fabio Lucioni, former Spezia; youngster Camilleri (1992) was sold this week to Serie A side Cagliari.


In Puglia, relegated Lecce have extended the deal with goalkeeper Petrachi (25) until 2014 and took on loan from AC Milan the young defender Diniz. Brescia resign until 20125 the deal with midfielder Marco Martina Rini; After three weeks on trial with the rondinelle, they've signed the Brazilian midfielder Sodinha; Swedish forward Marko Mitrovic (20) was also signed by Brescia after he was released by Chelsea. In exit, Zoboli refused to join MLS team New England Boston and he's close to join Modena. Livorno loaned Bulgarian forward Andrey Galabinov to relegated Gubbio.
Finally, Pro Vercelli signed young midfielder Carraro on loan from Fiorentina and made official the signings of playmaker Manuel Scavone from Bari and veteran left full-back Massimiliano Scaglia (35) from Hellas Verona. Novara sign in co-ownership with AC Milan the young defender Luca Ghiringhelli (20). Striker Alex Pinardi said he's going to leave the piemontesi.
Regarding the manager, Attilio Tesser extended his deal with the biancoblu until 2014.

Martinho: "Here for Serie A" - Calvano: "Verona is a great team"

Raphael Alves De Lima, called Martinho, and Simone Calvano were presented in the Bentegodi press-room by Hellas Verona executive chief Giovanni Gardini. 
He explained to the press how it will be a great opportunity for them: "They're two young players with amazing qualities. They have a great desire to express their skills on the pitch and we think they might find the opportunity to do it here". Both players are midfielders, the Brazilian is a winger while the Italian is a playmaker.

Two other players who signed for Hellas in the last days were introduced to the press in the Bentegodi press-room.
They are Ivan Fatic and Simon Laner.
They were introduced by the executive chief Giovanni Gardini who spent good words for them. In fact, he said: "They were two players in which our staff believe a lot. Laner was an opportunity, he was at Hellas ten years ago and he know what he's going to live here; on the other hand, Fatic is a bet, a player who had some difficulties to show his potentialities in these years. We think he can improve with us".

Vicenza Calcio have officially asked Manuel Mancini to Hellas Verona.
The attacking midfielder is excluded, with Campagna as well, by Verona's team and is about to leave. The biancorossi, relegated last year to Lega Pro, are thinking about Mancini to face the new season.
The deal might have a positive end in the next few days (Mancini would be loaned), but Sogliano asked the youngster forward Salvatore Maiorana (1996) upon which there's Juventus interest.
If the youngster won't arrive to Verona, Mancini might be loaned to the biancorossi in any case.

Finally we have news about Victor Hugo Mareco who was literally unreachable in the last days.
As we reported, Hellas Verona sporting director Sean Sogliano tried to phone him to propose him a new deal extension but his mobile was always switched off.
Yesterday the defender signed a three-year deal with Cerro Porteno, one of the biggest team of his country: Paraguay.
During the presentation he said: "I decided to play for one of the biggest club in Paraguay and I'm grateful for the welcome I've received. I don't care about polemics".

Cocco should sign before Tuesday

Cagliari forward Andrea Cocco, last year at AlbinoLeffe in Serie B, is going to sign for Hellas Verona in these days.
Sporting director Sogliano had a decisive meeting with Cagliari staff in which he defined the last details.
In the last days, it was registered a growing interest by Bari but Verona's executives found an agreement.
The forward will probably sign a two-year deal with a third-year option. Cocco scored 12 goals with relegated AlbinoLeffe last season.

As we reported in the last days, Hellas Verona have a Swedish-Kosovan midfielder on trial: he's Labinot Harbuzi, former Malmoe player.
The midfielder started the trainings in Sandrà last Tuesday and is now on the road to the pre-season training ground in Santa Cristina of Val Gardena.
Hellas sporting director Sean Sogliano spoke about him: "He's an interesting player. Last year he played in the Turkish Serie A, that I consider a good League. We're in Serie B and I think he can be useful for our aim. I think he can deserve how good he is in this period he's spending on trial with us".
Then he specified: "He's not a Verona player right now. If he will show us his skills we'll sign him. I think it's fair to give him the opportunity to show our mister his qualities. By the way, I consider this operation a good bet and we're ready to considering his permanence".

Hellas Verona confirmed that veteran defender Massimiliano Scaglia (35) has left the gialloblu to sign with neo-promoted Pro Vercelli.
Last night during the team's presentation to the supporters, Scaglia was in Vercelli to sign the new deal. With his departure, probably the other left full back Giuseppe Pugliese will stay at Mandorlini's orders for another season.

Our blog want to thank Massimiliano for his application and devotion to the gialloblu shirt showed in these two years.
He leaves Verona after 59 appearances and one goal (scored against Juve Stabia in a 2-0 victory).

The press conference of the Hellas Verona staff saw the sporting director Sean Sogliano and the gialloblu manager Andrea Mandorlini answering some questions.

Sogliano, in particular, spoke about his work in this difficult summer market: "My will is to give to our manager the best team possible. Players who want to sweat, who want to play for Hellas and who want to build something important.
Regarding the market itself, I can say that we're satisfied right now but we need to complete other operations both in and out. We need two forwards and one centre-back, but we don't have to be haste".

Raphael Martinho is a new Hellas Verona player.
The Brazilian midfielder, born in 1988, arrives via Catania on loan with the right to buy his half at the end of the season.
Martinho can play as a winger or an attacking midfielder.
Last year he was loaned to Serie A side Cesena where he played 17 times.

Another intense day at the window nr. 1 outside the Bentegodi stadium. Since the first hours of the morning, the queue was imposing.

At the end of the day, the renewals subscribed are 1675.
We're still at the pre-sale phase reserved to the old season ticket holders. New subscribers will be accepted from the 6th of August.

Alessandro Carrozza and Josè Angel Crespo were presented to the press in Bentegodi's press room. The two players were introduced by Giovanni Gardini (executive chief) who explained how much they were enthusiastic to join the Hellas Verona project. He also added: "We still need to sign a few players and sold some as well. For the forward isn't a problem of money: we think that the request made by Grosseto was too elevated. We need to meet again".

Roberto Lorenzini, last year AC Milan Allievi's coach, is the new manager of the Primavera gialloblu.
Born in Milan in 1966, started to play football in Milan's academy: he play as a defender even for Genoa and Torino.
He quit the agonistic football in 1999 and two years later he began his managerial career with Jesina, before training Vis Pesaro, Maceratese, Varese (Allievi Nazionali and first team), Mantova (as Costacurta's assistant) and Solbiatese.

The situation is paradoxical but unfortunately true.
The Paraguayan defender was expected to talk with Sogliano in these days to discuss about a possible new deal with Hellas Verona but the player has completely disappeared.
Sogliano said: "I phone him but I can't get any answer: he's untraceable!" and Mandorlini added: "We don't know how to find him".
The former Brescia defender was expected to return to Italy a few days ago but nobody knows where he is. Mareco was in touch with Ternana as well.

As we said in the last days, the Montenegrin full back Ivan Fatic has joined Hellas Verona today.
In the last two season, the defender played only 5 games (2 with Cesena, 3 with Empoli) but Sogliano and Mandorlini believe in his potentialities. Especially the sporting director said that "it would be Fatic's last chance to play at high levels" adding also "it's a challenge and we think he might be the right man for the job".

Fatic, born in 1988, joins Hellas from rivals Chievo.

After five years, Simon Laner will play again with Hellas Verona.
This evening the official Hellas Verona website has confirmed the signing of the midfielder.
Born in Merano in 1984, Laner played in Verona's academy team after being loaned to various team.
He was then signed by AlbinoLeffe where he spent two seasons before he was bought in co-ownership by Serie A side Cagliari where he played 18 games. Last year he returned to AlbinoLeffe collecting 36 games with 6 goals.

The midfielder was signed by Verona on loan with the right to buy his half at the end of the season.

The friendly matches confirmed by Hellas Verona in this summer pre-season are three. After the Fiorentina match, that was confirmed ten days ago, the gialloblu will face Sudtirol and Palermo respectively the 1st and the 4th of August.

Friday 27 July, h: 18:30: Hellas Verona-Fiorentina, at Moena (Trento);
Wednesday 1st August, h: 18:30: HellasVerona-Sudtirol, at Bressanone (Bolzano);

The 2012/13 season have officially started today in Sandrà and at the training ground there is a new player: it's Labinot Harbuzi.
Born in 1986, Harbuzi is a Swedish-Kosovan attacking midfielder who spent the last seasons with Turkish team Gençlerbirlig.

He began his football career with the team of his city, Malmoe FF, before being signed by Feyenoord.

After excellent signings and some dealings in existence, Sogliano and Mandorlini are thinking about Rafael's reserve.
Last year began with David Nicolas Andrade as second goalkeeper but his injury in January forced Gibellini (former sporting director) to sign Pierluigi Frattali who showed very good skills when he played against AlbinoLeffe and Modena, where he saved a penalty.
Frattali was close to extend the deal with Verona but in the last days the club thought about confirming Nicolas.

Hellas Verona have signed a young forward in co-ownership from Atalanta.
It's Pasquale De Vita, former Palermo player, wanted by Sogliano when he was the rosanero's sporting director.
De Vita, born in 1994, will be aggregated to Verona primavera team.

The Montenegrin full back Ivan Fatic (1988) should sign today.
Sporting director Sean Sogliano found the agreement with Chievo to buy on an undisclosed fee the left defender. Fatic should already join the team today in Sandrà.

Yesterday night, Sogliano closed another important deal as inside forward Rapahel Alves Da Lima, commonly know as Martinho, is about to join Hellas Verona on loan (with the right to buy him at the end of the season). The Brazilian, born in 1988, was bought by Catania in 2010 as sporting director Salvatore Lo Monaco discovered the guy in his former team, Paulista. He was then loaned to Cesena last season where he played 18 games.
